In my neighborhood where its dark Ive found that in most cases I can get by with as little as 6 watts (Turbo Cat 6 watt flood) but Im much more comfortable with a 15 watt flood (Vista 500 series). More wattage not only lets me see better ahead, but makes it easier to find the road when cornering.
